One of the best things about WeShape is how little you need to get moving. No gym membership, no rack of equipment, no special setup β just a bit of space and a few household items.
Here's what to have ready before your first session.
Your Space
You'll want enough room to comfortably lie down and extend your arms and legs in every direction. Picture making a snow angel β that's the minimum footprint. A clear spot in your living room, bedroom, or office works perfectly.
Quick checklist:
Clear of furniture, cords, and tripping hazards
Open overhead (no low-hanging lights or fans)
Close to a wall if you want extra balance support during standing exercises
Flooring
Either carpet or hard flooring works. Each has trade-offs:
Carpet is more forgiving for floor exercises but can make balance work a little trickier.
Hard floors (wood, tile, laminate) give you a stable base for standing movements but are less comfortable for anything on your back, knees, or elbows.
A yoga mat solves the comfort issue on hard floors and is the one item we'd really recommend picking up if you don't already have one.
Equipment
WeShape workouts are designed to use almost nothing. That said, two items will make your experience noticeably better:
A yoga mat for cushioning during floor work.
A sturdy chair or couch for balance, support, and modified versions of certain movements. Make sure whatever you use is stable and won't slide or tip.
That's it. No weights, no bands, no equipment to buy.
What to Wear
Wear whatever lets you move freely. Athletic clothes are great, but loose, comfortable clothes work just as well. Most members prefer to go barefoot or wear socks with grip β regular socks on a hard floor can slip, so keep that in mind.
Hydration
Keep a water bottle within reach. You don't need to chug, but having water nearby means you can take a sip whenever you need one without breaking your flow.
Ready to Move
Once you've got your space cleared and your mat down, you're set. Head to WeMove and let C.O.A.C.H. build your routine.
