Understanding the Light
Red Light (630nm & 660nm)
Red light is visible to the eye and is commonly chosen for skin-focused wellness routines and areas closer to the body's surface. People often include red light sessions as part of routines that support healthy-looking skin and overall daily wellness.
Near-Infrared Light (810nm, 830nm & 850nm)
Near-infrared light is largely invisible, which means these LEDs may appear much dimmer or even look as though they are switched off during use. This is completely normal.
Near-infrared light reaches deeper tissues than visible red light and is commonly used for larger muscles, joints, and post-activity recovery routines. Many people choose near-infrared light after exercise or for areas that feel tight, over-worked, or slow to recover.
Combined Mode
Combined Mode uses both visible red and near-infrared light at the same time. This is the setting many people choose for general daily recovery because it allows both types of light to work together during the same session.
Tip: If you're unsure which mode to choose, Combined Mode is an excellent place to begin.
Getting Started
Position Your Panel
Place your panel on a compatible stand or hang it securely using the included hanging system. Choose a position where the light can comfortably reach the area you want to treat.
Connect the Power
Insert the power cable into the back of the panel and plug the other end into a suitable wall outlet. Switch the power on using the rear power switch. The touchscreen will illuminate and display the home screen.
Choose Your Light Mode
Select one of the following:
Red Light — ideal for skin-focused wellness routines and surface tissues.
Near-Infrared Light — a popular choice for muscles, joints, and larger treatment areas.
Combined Mode — uses both together. A great everyday setting and where many people choose to begin.
Set Your Brightness
Adjust the brightness to a level that feels comfortable. There is no need to start at full power — many people begin at a moderate brightness and gradually increase it as they become familiar with the panel.
Set Your Timer
Choose a session length between 1 and 30 minutes. If you're new to red light therapy, a session of 10–15 minutes is a comfortable place to start.
Enjoy Your Session
Stand or sit comfortably in front of the panel. Relax, breathe normally, and allow the timer to complete your session. When the timer ends, the panel will switch off automatically.
Understanding the Touchscreen
Timer
Choose a session length from 1 to 30 minutes. For most people, 10–15 minutes is a comfortable starting point, and 15–20 minutes is commonly used for larger treatment areas or post-exercise recovery.
Light Modes
Red: Uses only the visible red wavelengths.
Near-Infrared (NIR): Uses only the near-infrared wavelengths. These LEDs may appear much dimmer during use — this is normal.
Combined: Uses both red and near-infrared light together. This is the setting many people choose for everyday wellness and recovery sessions.
Brightness
Adjust brightness anywhere between 0% and 100%. Choose the level that feels comfortable for you — you can always increase brightness over time as you become familiar with your sessions.
Pulse Frequency
Your panel includes adjustable pulse frequency settings. If you're new to the panel, there's no need to adjust these straight away — the default setting is suitable for everyday use. As you become more familiar with your panel, you can explore different pulse frequencies to personalise your sessions.
Finding Your Best Distance
One of the most common questions people ask is: "How close should I stand?"
There isn't a single correct distance. Instead, position yourself so the light comfortably covers the area you'd like to support.
For smaller areas such as a knee, shoulder, or foot, you may choose to move a little closer.
For larger treatment areas or full-body sessions, simply step back until the light covers the desired area comfortably.
The most important thing is consistency. Regular sessions over time are generally more valuable than occasionally trying to maximise every session.
Clothing or Bare Skin?
The panel works most effectively when the light reaches the skin directly. Whenever practical, expose the area you want to treat. Loose or thick clothing may reduce the amount of light reaching the body. Wear whatever allows you to feel comfortable and relaxed during your session.
Eye Protection
Protective eyewear is included with your panel. Many people choose to wear the glasses during treatment, particularly when facing the panel directly. You may also choose to close your eyes during facial sessions.
Build Your Daily Recovery Routine
Morning Recharge
Recommended Mode: Combined | Suggested Time: 10–15 minutes
A gentle way to begin the day feeling refreshed and ready to move.
After Exercise Recovery
Recommended Mode: Near-Infrared or Combined | Suggested Time: 15–20 minutes
A popular routine after walking, strength training, cycling, running, or other physical activity.
Evening Wind Down
Recommended Mode: Combined | Suggested Time: 10–15 minutes
Many people enjoy using their panel in the evening as part of a relaxing bedtime routine.
Targeted Support
Choose one area that feels like it could use a little extra care. Common choices include neck and shoulders, upper back, lower back, hips, knees, calves, and feet. Spend 10–15 minutes focusing on that area before moving on with your day.
Getting the Most from Your Panel
Pair It with Something You Already Do
One of the easiest ways to build consistency is to attach your session to a routine that's already part of your day — while enjoying your morning coffee, after your workout or walk, during your evening reading time, while listening to a podcast, or before winding down for bed.
Listen to Your Body
Some days you may feel energised and active. Other days your body may feel a little stiffer, tighter, or simply in need of extra care. Your panel doesn't need to be used exactly the same way every day. Some people enjoy a full-body session, while others prefer to focus on one area. The best routine is one that works for you and is easy to maintain.
Common Questions
How often can I use my panel?
Many people include red light therapy as part of their daily wellness routine. Regular, consistent sessions are generally easier to maintain than using the panel only occasionally.
Can I use it more than once a day?
Some people choose to use the panel more than once during the day, particularly if they are treating different areas of the body. Pay attention to how your body responds and choose a routine that feels comfortable for you.
Why do some LEDs look like they're off?
Near-infrared light is largely invisible to the human eye. Although those LEDs may appear dim or switched off, they are still operating normally.
Should I wear eye protection?
Protective glasses are included with your panel. Many people wear them when facing the panel directly, especially during facial sessions.
Can I use lotions or creams beforehand?
Clean, dry skin is generally the easiest way to begin your session. If you use skincare products, allow them to absorb fully before using the panel.
Can I use the panel over clothing?
The light reaches exposed skin most effectively. Whenever practical, uncover the area you want to treat.
Does the panel get warm?
Yes. Like many electronic devices, the panel generates some warmth during operation. Its built-in cooling system is designed to help regulate the temperature throughout your session.
When will I notice a difference?
Everyone's experience is different. Some people enjoy simply having dedicated time each day to relax and unwind, while others notice changes over time as they continue using the panel consistently. Building a regular recovery routine is often more important than expecting immediate results.
Care & Cleaning
Before Cleaning
Always switch the panel off, unplug the power cable, and allow the panel to cool if it has just been used.
Cleaning the Panel
Use a soft microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface. If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the panel. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these may damage the housing or protective lens surfaces.
Keep the Cooling Vents Clear
The rear vents allow air to circulate while the panel is operating. Check them occasionally and remove any dust using a soft, dry cloth. Keeping the vents clear helps maintain efficient cooling during longer sessions.
Storage
When the panel is not in use, store it in a clean, dry location, avoid excessive humidity, keep it away from direct heat sources, and do not place heavy objects on top of the panel. If you're transporting your panel, protect it from impacts and use the original packaging whenever possible.
Safety Information
Use Your Panel Safely
Place or hang the panel securely before beginning a session.
Check that all hooks, cables, pulleys, and mounting points are properly attached.
Keep the panel and power cord away from water, damp surfaces, and high-humidity areas.
Do not operate the panel with wet hands.
Do not stare directly into the LEDs while the panel is switched on.
Wear the included protective eyewear when facing the panel directly, particularly at close range.
Keep the cooling vents uncovered during use and allow enough space around the panel for air to circulate.
Switch the panel off and unplug it before cleaning, moving, or adjusting the hanging system.
Stop using the panel if the power cord, plug, housing, touchscreen, or LED surface appears damaged.
Do not attempt to open, modify, or repair the panel yourself.
Keep the device and its accessories out of reach of young children.
Before Beginning a Session
Use the panel on clean, dry skin whenever possible. Remove jewellery or accessories that may become warm or interfere with the treatment area. Choose a stable, comfortable position you can maintain for the full session, and avoid leaning against the panel or placing pressure on its surface. Begin with a shorter session and a comfortable brightness level while you become familiar with the device.

Troubleshooting
The Panel Will Not Switch On
Check that the power cable is fully connected to the panel, the plug is securely inserted into the wall outlet, the rear power switch is turned on, and the wall outlet is working. Try a different suitable outlet if necessary. If the panel still does not switch on, unplug it and contact WeShape Support.
The Touchscreen Is On, but the LEDs Are Not Lit
Check that a light mode has been selected, the brightness is set above 0%, a session time has been entered, and the session has been started. Remember that near-infrared LEDs are largely invisible and may appear very dim even when operating correctly.
Some LEDs Look Dimmer Than Others
The panel contains several wavelengths. Visible red LEDs will appear brighter to the eye than near-infrared LEDs. This difference is expected and does not necessarily indicate a fault.
The Panel Feels Warm
Some warmth during operation is normal. Make sure the rear cooling vents are clear and that the panel has enough space around it for airflow. Switch the panel off if it becomes unusually hot, produces an unfamiliar smell, or makes an unexpected sound — then unplug it and contact WeShape Support before using it again.
The Touchscreen Is Not Responding
Switch the panel off using the rear power switch. Unplug it for a few minutes, reconnect the power, and switch it on again. Use clean, dry hands when operating the screen.
The Remote Control Is Not Working
Check the battery and make sure there is a clear line between the remote and the panel. Move closer and try again.
The Panel Moves or Tilts While Hanging
Stop the session and support the panel before making adjustments. Check the hooks, hanging cables, pulley system, and attachment points. Do not continue using the panel until it is stable and securely positioned.
Need More Help?
Do not dismantle the panel or attempt an internal repair. Contact WeShape Support with your order number, the panel's serial number (if available), a brief description of the issue, and photos or a short video showing the problem.
